PKR launches Poker Wiki

PKR Poker, one of the pioneers of 3D online poker play, has launched Poker Wiki, a Wikipedia-like website specifically for online poker know-how.

As with the popular Wikipedia site, Poker Wiki also harnesses volunteers throughout the world to collaborate and create the content of the website. Users can create and edit articles as well as verify existing content. Creators of the Poker Wiki is calling the site: online poker encyclopedia created by players, for players.

"PKR has worked with a team of writers to get The Poker Wiki up and running, but from now on our involvement will be very hands-off." said Dan Granm PKR media manager. "The Poker Wiki's future is now in the hands of the poker community who we hope will pick up the baton and contribute content to help create the world's foremost repository for all things related to poker,".

Poker Wiki can contain a variety of information ranging from term definitions, strategy guides, bios, and even news stories. Initial content of the site at launch include poker legend Doyle Brunson and an entry on this years World Series of Poker.
